John Gibson shot back at Jack Cafferty’s attack on FOX News for interviewing Vice President Dick Cheney:

Over there on CNN, it wasn’t enough to attack Cheney, they had to attack us! The typical political venue for those who somebody who wants to go and give their side of the story and not be challenged in the least is Larry King. Cheney did not avail himself of that venue. He went to Brit Hume. Now, whatever you think about Fox, Brit’s no chump. He’s going to ask the questions and he did ask the questions. In fact, he got Cheney in some trouble, because he asked about this story that Scooter Libby said that he was empowered by his superiors — that would be Cheney — to release certain information that was in a National Intelligence Estimate. Well, Brit asked him about that. [...]

So Cheney did answer some important questions, and was confronted with some important questions, and yet we have you know, people, has-beens on other networks, referring to the f-word network. What? I mean, people have gone around the bend.

At that point, Gibson played the Cafferty clip. Gibson’s response?

Why don’t you just shut up? What are you losing, 2 to 1 at 5 o clock? I know that: it’s 2 to 1. 2 to 1 at 5 o clock, Cafferty, and you call that the f-word network? [another Cafferty clip: “He’s not going to get any high hard ones from anybody at the f-word network] Oh really? Well what about Larry King? That’s the usual venue for people who want the toothless interview. He leaves his damn teeth in a glass of water by the microphone! He gums ‘em to death! Geez. These people are off the charts!

More proof that Liberals are nothing more than Chronic Cynics.

Why do they get angry and pitch fits like Cafferty did? Well first and foremost remember they think everyone else is alsways lying and scheming. Furthermore they believe that conservatives somehow “Know” that they are lying and scheming to the world but just won’t admit to it.

Next remember that the reason they are obsessed with the notion of “Social Class” is that they are chronic cynics. They assume most people to be too stupid – literally too unintelligent, ignorant, and manipulable – to make the right decisions. That most people “Need” an upper class to “Take care of them”.

They will try not to lose their temper because they don’t want to appear ruffled. It would suggest that they aren’t part of the upper class that is put here to take care of everyone. However when it becomes obvious (at least to their peers) that they are getting their butts kicked (ala Cafferty, Dean, Gore, Mahr etc.)they go overboard the other direction. They take it as a sign of bravery and machismo to say outlandish things to make up for their lack of results. They do it to try and convince their base that they aren’t stupid and/or cowardly themselves. They also do it to try and convince others that Conservatives ARE too stupid and cowardly to say such outlandish things themselves.

More on that point – Liberals promote the degredation of national media and conservative cultural values so that they can get away with this.

Gangster Rap – Condoms in Schools – Sex Shows on MTV - Torture Porn like the movie “Hostel” – Brokeback Mountain.

The more and more they can break down traditional, functional American values and warp them into self-absorbed, self destructive, dysfunctional Liberal values the less and less crazy they sound in comparison when they do this.

Al Gore is in the Heart of the Islamic World telling them we’re rounding up Arabs and torturing them on American soil.

The man that won the popular vote in 2000. Seriously WTF is wrong with that asshat?

But hey – you have the MSM ignore the story, all the while you have Hostel (people being sawed apart to death screaming alive) and Brokeback mountain, and MTV telling teenagers they can have all the weird sex they want as long as they use condoms and Al Gore looks “Normal” by comparison.

I’m not suggesting that a certain amount of Cynicism isn’t healthy – it is. But being perpetually cynical is just as bad as being perpetually optimistic. Both extremes deviate from a factual analysis of probability in any given situation. Things don’t ALWAYS turn out for the best just as they don’t ALWAYS turn out for the worst. This is where the liberals have detached themselves from reality and are seeing real world losses in power happen as a result. They never play the odds or make objective judgement calls in regards to the outcomes of situations. They just always bet on black.

Moreover their chronic cynicism is the reason they hate religion. Religion requires faith. Faith requires optimism.

All things being said, when leading people, it’s common sense to bet on optimism. All things being equal people appreciate you more when you bet on GOOD things happening and wind up being right. Nobody’s gonna like the guy who bets on shit weather and is right 50% of the time.

    venmax: Excellent analysis!

Franklin Roosevelt, JFK, Reagan, George W. Bush among others are optimistic realists! They are not ignorant of the realities they must face, but they consciously choose to promote optimism. FDR, JFK, and Reagan remain extremely popular long after they died; and despite the polls now, I believe G.W. Bush will fare well when the world looks back on his presidency, because he refuses to look at life always in negative terms. He chooses to believe people want freedom and hope, and he strives to give them that opportunity!

Venmax: I agree too, nice analysis. The Democrats and their liberal so called civil rights leaders are perpetually pessimistic. They are so critical and pessimistic about all other non-democrat leaders that they even fail to realize the problems in their own parties and the states they run, let alone that in some cases they are the problem and others that they either could be part of the cause of some problems or are helping the problem live longer by constantly being so pessimistic (yah, I am talking to you Dean, Kerry, Reid, Kennedy).

I’d even take it a step further than that. I think thy’re cynical about themselves as well as the conservatives. This is why they just stabbed Paul Hackett in the back.

Competition exists within conservative circles, but at the end of the day they swallow their pride and band together as a team. Hackett and the Democratic leadership just called it splittsville.

Conservatives have a healthy, mature, and balanced attitude towards competition. Liberals eat their own – they live and die by the sword.

Honestly I don’t think the War on Christmas stuff was such a joke. Stuff like this has an impact on our society and our children. Liberals aren’t trying to kill Christmas outright – but they sure as hell see a day where no Christmas exists as being part of the natural evolution of society.

I know this is kind of an obscure reference, but take Children’s cartoons for example. When’s the last time you saw a cartoon that taught kids it was important to “Work Hard”, “Listen to their mom and dad”, “Eat all their dinner”, and “Go to bed on time”?

You haven’t. Kids TV shows and cartoons DON’T say those kinds of things anymore. Nowadays it’s all a bunch of hippy-drippy liberal horseshit. Share your toys, people are different and that’s okay, talk about your feelings etc…

That’s nice Barney (you big purple commie), but what I REALLY need my kids to do is work hard, listen to their parents, eat all their dinner, and go to bed at night.

You go back 50 years in this country and children’s cartoons and TV shows used to teach stuff lke that to kids. Liberals didn’t kill off morals in children’s programming all at once, they did it over time.

god forbid kids learn to share their toys and respect the differences of others.

give me a break, it’s YOUR responsibility to teach your kids that. are you saying that you want cartoons raising your kids? if it’s so offensive to you, then TURN IT OFF. i thought the republican party was the party of personal responsbility.

fadingcapn: I have an idea, why don’t you dissect what John Gibson presented about the war on Christmas (Christians too!) and educate us by showing where he said anything factually incorrect?

Look at the record and it is not conservatives manufacturing the lie of Separation of Church and State, kicking Almighty God out of the public square and deciding that Christmas should not be mentioned in schools, in the public square, or that Nativity Scense are illegal, that any mention of Christ or Christmas is a violation of the constitution. No! In every case where Christmas is being attacked by the courts you will only and always find liberal judges and legislators involved. So conrade, it is factually correct that Christmas is rapidly becoming illegal all over the country and it is liberals that are pushing that anti-Christ agenda!

the separation of church and state has been around for, um, quite some time and i don’t need to debunk every silly argument that comes from a fox news anchor trying to sell his book. and let’s get one thing straight. i am a christian and i’m well-read enough to know that i wouldn’t belong to a party with an “anti-Christ” agenda. in the words of michelle malking…YOU. ARE. UNHINGED.

fadingcapn: Before you shoot your mouth off about Separation of Church and State, I have studied it in-depth for many years, and virtually everything wrong about our society today can be directly and clearly linked to that single lie perpetrated by that member of the KKK - Justice Hugo Black, in 1946.

The Democrat Party and the liberals are active proponents of (a) homosexual marriage, (b) of state sponsored murder of infants in the womb (abortion), (c) state sponsored murder of the terminally ill (assisted suicide), (d) state sponsored murder of those not living a life acceptable to the state (euthanasia), (e) they are the party behind the promotion of the false doctrine of Separation of Church and State and every perverted law since then which have effectively kicked Almighty God out of the public square, but then you say, “I wouldn’t belong to a party with an “anti-Christ? agenda?”

Well either you are deceived about the platform of your own party, are deliberately blind to the perverse anti-Christ things they stand for, or you are a low grade moron. I am not labeling you, calling you names or attacking you, but since the anti-Christ agenda of the Democrat Party is well documented over several decades, you must fall into one of the three categories I listed, I honestly don’t see any options.

Are there genuine Christians in the Democrat party? Sure! But, they are at best carnal Christians if they cannot see the passionate anti-Christ agenda their party promotes. So, I don’t doubt your claim to Christian beliefs, but I find it very hard to believe you know the Bible very well and can still belong to a party which promotes the social approval of a very long list of sins that God clearly condemns. What about Christians in the Republican Party? Many who claim to be Christians are guilty of gross immorality and are not offering the world a very good Christian testimony. I also far too often fail in my manner of speech and intolerance, among other sins. What is the difference? The Republican Party, for the most part rejects those things mentioned in paragraph #2 as part of their party platform, while the Democrat Party has enshrined most of them in their platform!
