Outside of the always too predictable far left moonbats (PETA, the Brady clan, MoveOn.org…etc), I don’t think you are going to see a another major anti-gun movement as a result of this hunting accident.
You could build a solid case that the Republicans took over the House in 1994 and Gore lost the election in 2000 in no small part because of the public’s fear that the anti-gun Democrats were attempting to take our legal firearms away from us.
Most, but not all Democratic politicians will not even touch this issue because they know damn well that it is a big-time losing issue for them.
That may not stop very liberal Democrats from restarting a paltry anti-gun movement, but any politician who considers himself / herself a moderate during this election year and seeking moderate voters will NOT touch this issue whatsoever.

Yah that is brilliant. 2nd Ammendment aside, lets take away guns from people who have no criminal history and make their homes defenseless against thugs who can still get guns on the black market, all the while knowing there is no way the cops can be everywhere at once.
The armed citizen is one reason why thugs don’t get away as much fro mbreakins as you think. The media just hardly ever covers stories of people succesfully defending thier family and homes. But the Grandmother who shot the burglar that was on Fox was classic. Go Granny!
The NRA is very lame in hte ways they defend the right to own a gun. But their original statement is classic and true: “Guns don’t kill people, people kill people.”
If someone wants you dead, outlawing guns is not going to stop them, but only make you easier of a target. Unless you’re Jet Li.

That’s why I have very little patience for the gun control crowd. How do they justify taking away the guns of law abiding citizens, thereby leaving criminals as the only ones armed? There is literally no realistic argument to that what so ever. I beg a liberal to tell me that there is. Explain to me libs how allowing criminals to be the only ones with guns isn’t the worst possible idea ever. Oh but it would be illegal to have guns you say? WELL THEY’RE CRIMINALS!
