Vice President Dick Cheney was interviewed by FOX News’ Brit Hume that aired on tonight’s edition of Special Report. In the interview, Cheney said that injuring Harry Whittington on a hunting trip was “one of the worse days in my life”.
The media says Cheney is taking responsibility. This coming from the following remarks Cheney made in the interview:
VICE PRESIDENT CHENEY: I’m the guy who pulled the trigger that fired the round that hit Harry, and talk about all the other conditions that existed at the time, but that’s the bottom line. It’s not Harry’s fault, you can’t blame anybody else, I’m the guy who pulled the trigger and shot my friend. It’s a day I’ll never forget.
